SeqPeelSort is a simple spike sorting algorithm that is specifically tailored to the problems arising in single sensillum recordings, a recording technique used in insect neuroscience. SeqPeelSort works by iteratively matching templates to the recorded voltage time trace and subtracting the template from the recording if it fits well enough. The result is a list of timestamps whenever each neuron within the sensillum generated an action potential.
